CGA-BC PEP Events
CGA-BC hosts, sponsors and participates in several recruiting events throughout the year. As a PEP member, your organization will be invited to attend many of these events and, in some cases, you may even wish to act as co-sponsor.
Speed Interview Nights
Speed interviews are a quick and effective way for PEP employers to pre-screen a large number of candidates for current or future career opportunities with their company. Employers get time face-to-face with the candidates and get to ask key questions that will help determine if there is a “fit” or potential for a full follow-up interview at a later date. If your organization has career opportunities, now or in the future, this will be a great place to find candidates.
Networking Receptions and Dinners
Representatives from PEP companies are invited to network with CGAs, CGA students, prospective students, other PEP employers at several networking events throughout the year. These networking dinners will allow you to identify strong candidates compatible with your company’s future needs. Your company will gain maximum exposure and recognition as a key employment partner endorsed by CGA-BC. Your company will be verbally acknowledge at the event as a Partner in Employment and recognized as a supporter of excellence in accounting and continuing education.
CGA PEP Career Fair
This is as an exclusive event for CGA-BC’s PEP employers. An opportunity to promote your company to hundreds of CGAs, CGA students and post-secondary accounting students, the fair typically draws over 300 accounting career seekers. Each year, PEP employers are invited to build their employer brand and promote their company to this pool of accounting talent. Each PEP employer receives a 10' x 8' booth space.
CGA PEP Workouts
The CGA PEP Workout is an on-site visit that allows accounting students the opportunity to see the operations of a PEP company, speak with human resources staff and meet accountants on the job. The PEP Workouts allow CGA's partners in employment to show off their operations, people and culture to accounting students considering a wide range of career opportunities in finance and accounting.
CGA-BC Chapters – Student Nights
Every CGA student enrolled in the CGA program is assigned to a CGA chapter in their area, and each chapter sponsors several events throughout the year. One of those events is a Student Welcome Night where students receive information about their academic and practical experience requirements, career-related information and a chance to meet with some of CGA-BC’s PEP employers in a setting that facilitates professional – yet informal – networking.
CGA Program Information Sessions
Upon request, one of CGA-BC’s recruiting managers will go out to PEP companies to deliver information sessions about the CGA program to company staff interested in entering the CGA program.
