2013 - 2014 Student Handbook
Dear CGA Students:
Welcome to the 2013–2014 academic year!
Whether you are a new or returning student, I congratulate you on your decision to pursue studies in accounting. Completing the CGA Program of Professional Studies requires hard work and discipline, but as every graduate can attest, it is extremely rewarding.
Your success is important to us and so it is essential for you to read this Handbook carefully as it contains important information about policies and procedures relating to the program.
As you know, this is an exciting time for our profession since the three professional accounting bodies in B.C. have agreed to merge under the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. We recognize that this will be a period of change for many of our students, but it also represents a great opportunity. You can keep track of developments and updates by visiting the Students Heads Up section of our website. Please trust that we are here to support you every step of the way.
On behalf of CGA-BC’s Student Services Team, I wish you a successful and satisfying academic year.
Bill Johnson, FCGA
