Decision Summaries
CGA-BC is committed to keeping members and the public informed. It is also required to respect the confidentiality of the members and students it investigates as set out in Section 22 of the Act and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
While the Association is able to publicize the outcome of a discipline hearing, it does not comment publicly on any complaint while it is being investigated.
The range of disciplinary orders includes fines, costs, orders to improve conduct or competence, reprimands, suspensions, expulsions and being barred from reinstatement. In cases involving a discipline order that includes a reprimand or a more severe sanction, the disciplined member or student is identified by name in the summary.
