Other Accepted Courses

As part of our commitment to a harmonized national CPD policy, several of the most commonly claimed courses offered by other suppliers have been reviewed and pre-approved by the CGA associations.

This list in no way restricts other courses members may take; it is simply a list of commonly claimed courses across Canada.

If the course you are taking is not on the list, consider the following questions when evaluating the qualification hours and compare them to the pre-approved activities.

  • Are there assignments? How many? Are they marked or evaluated?
  • If there are no assignments, what is the average time to self-study?
  • Consider the reading list and additional texts.
  • Is there an exam? How long does it take? Multiple choice or case study based?
