PRINCE GEORGE – Five senior academics, including three from the University of Northern British Columbia, were presented with their CGA designations today at a special presentation at the Fortune Palace Restaurant in Prince George.

Today’s report by an independent panel that reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of the province’s harmonized sales tax offers a fair and accurate analysis of the new value-added tax, Bruce Hurst, FCGA, the Chair of the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia said.

This is an historic year for the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia (CGA-BC) as it marks the 60th anniversary of its founding by an act of the British Columbia legislature on April 18, 1951.
